CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI women's golf hits to the links once again this weekend visiting central Illinois for the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic in Bartonville beginning Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. CT.
The Panthers are coming off of a windy and rain filled performance earlier this week at the Big O Classic in Omaha. In a two-round tournament shortened by storms, UNI placed sixth in the 12 team field with a team score of 631.
Playing the 6,019-yard, par-72 Coyote Creek Golf Course, the Panthers will face off against eight other programs, including Western Illinois. Evansville, Southern Indiana, Chicago State, Fort Wayne, Bradley, Illinois State and Green Bay.
Anna Jensen led the Panther pack tying for 15th place after shooting a 76 (+3) in the first round and sinking five total birdies over the course of the Big O Classic. Anna Nacos tied with teammate McKenna Mallow after both notching a 76 (+3) and 82 (+9) for a total score of 158.Â
Additionally, Allison Nuss tied for 42nd with an overall score of 161 (+15), while Victoria Hualde tied for 51st after scoring an 80 (+7) in her final round. Addison Berg competed as an individual, tying for 48th after bouncing back from her first-round score of 86 (+13) with a 78 (+5) to finish the tournament.Â
Last year at the Big O Classic, UNI placed seven in a nine-team field after Jensen led UNI with a 77 (+5) in her second round and notching an eagle in the third round. Butler University claimed the team title with a score of 927.
