UNI Softball Travels to Normal, IL To Take On Illinois State

This Weekend's Action:
The UNI Softball team will be traveling to Normal, Illinois to face off against the Redbirds of Illinois State May 1 – May 2. The Panthers will play three games over the weekend. Two will be played on Saturday and one on Sunday.

The Panthers:

The Panthers:
- The Panthers currently sit in 2nd place in the Missouri Valley Conference behind Illinois State.
- The Panthers defeated the Bulldogs of Drake 13-5 in six short innings on Tuesday, April 27th giving them their 15th conference win while only
- Kamryn Shaffer led the way for the Panthers against the Bulldogs with two home runs, one being a grand slam while tacking on six RBI's.
- In the circle Kailyn Packard leads the way for the Panthers. Packard has an overall record of 16-5 overall and is 10-2 in conference play.
- At the plate Sammey Bunch continues to lead the way for the Panthers as she has all year. Bunch has an overall batting average of .458 and .467 in the conference. Bunch has also recorded fifty-five hits, nineteen home runs, drove in forty-six runs, and crossed the plate fifty times.
