Men and Women Golf Finished Day One at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate

SEVIERVILLE, Tennessee- The UNI men and women's golf teams started their first day in Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate off to a strong start, with the women shooting 304 and the men with 287.
The Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate consists of 12 teams for the women, including Indiana State, Northern Iowa, Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Radford, Findlay, Bellarmine University, Tennessee Tech, Northern Kentucky, Carson-Newman, Tesculum and Western Carolina. The men's side consists of Austin Peay, Carson-Newman, Morehead State, Roane State, Detroit Mercy, Northern Iowa, Murray State, Evansville, Tennessee Tech, UT- Martin, Eastern Kentucky, Northern Kentucky, Tusculum University, Findlay and Walters State.Â
The panther women were led by senior Sydney Eaton with a 75 and followed by Hannah Bermel and Allison Nuss with a pair of 76's. Hailey Bermel is sitting tied for 20th with a 77 and Emily Snelling ended with a 79. The men's team was led by Tommy Doyle and Griffin Parker with a 71, Carter Stochl with a 72, then followed by Jack Moody with a 73 and Ben Bermel with a 74.
The UNI men's team will tee off at 10 and the women tee off at 10:30 ET on Monday, March 15 for their second round.Â
