The Panthers:
• The Panthers travel to Lawrence, KS on Friday, March 12th - Saturday, March 13th to
participate in the Rock Chalk Challenge. The Panthers will face off against both South
Dakota State and Kansas on Friday and Saturday.
• Sophomore Second Baseman Taylor Hogan continued to stay consistent at the plate
after the Easton T-Town Showdown. Hogan went 4-for-12 at the plate, posting a .333
batting average, four base hits, and tagged a total of four bases.
•. Sophomore Pitcher Kailyn Packard posted a 3.06 ERA over the span of 17.2 innings
at the Easton T-Town Showdown. Over the those 17.2 innings, Packard struck out
seventeen while only walking three. The sophomore gave up eight runs with just six
being earned. Packard threw two complete games to give the Panthers both wins on the
weekend.
• Senior Shortstop Sammey Bunch posted a .412 batting average, four home runs, eight
RBI's, seven hits, and five runs over the course of five games at the Easton T-Town
Showdown. Bunch has now recorded ten home runs and nineteen RBI's on the season.
Bunch recorded eight putouts, two errors, for a fielding percentage of .889.
• The Panthers went 2-3 from Mar. 5 - Mar. 7 splitting against South Alabama, losing
twice to Alabama and picking up a key win against Kent State. The Panthers head into
the Rock Chalk Challenge with an overall record of 7-8.
