THIS WEEK (2/2-2/8)
UNI Track & Field split it up this weekend traveling with mostly throwers and some middle distance runners to Lincoln, Nebraska for the Frank Sevign Husker Invite Feb. 7 - 8.Â
The throwing events start Friday at 4:30 p.m. and will continue on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
The other half of the squad will travel to South Bend, Ind. for the Meyo Invitational Feb 7 - 8.
Field events start on Friday at 4 p.m. with long jump followed by running events at 4:30 p.m. The invite continues Saturday morning with field events at 10:30 a.m. and running events at 9:45 a.m.

TRACK AND FIELD EVENTS REMAIN CONSISTENT
The shot put squad continues to perform as an absolute unit, consistently leading the MVC in four of the top five rankings. Darius King leads the group with a distance of 19.58m (ranked 9th in NCAA) followed by Keegan Tritle, Kyler Yodts, and William Blaser. Tom Yezek joins the crew following his return during the Black & Gold Premier. Yezek threw for a distance of 17.22m, putting him into 7th in the MVC rankings. Yodts and King also take two of the top 3 spots for weight throw.
Taylor Raines continues to hold the top spot in the women's 200-meter dash for the past two weeks with a time of 24.31.
Isaiah Trousil and Tayshaun Cooper both hold second place in the 60-meter dash in the MVC rankings with times of 6.82. Trousil also holds first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.35, followed by Cooper in second with a time of 21.49.
CJ May ran a personal best at the Hawkeye Invitational in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:26.15, putting him in the top-50 in the NCAA rankings at 43.Â
