Panther Track and Field Opens MVC Championship Saturday

Multi-events start on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the Heptathlon 60m dash. Field events begin at 2 p.m. with women's weight throw. Track events start at 4 p.m. with women's mile prelims. The events continue on Sunday with multi-events at 9:30 a.m. Field events will resume at 11 am with women's triple jump. Track final events will begin at 1:25 p.m. with women's mile.

2019 CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY In 2019, the men took second 14.5 points behind Illinois State. The 4x400 relay team looks to win for the second year in a row, going into the weekend with the top rank with a time of 3:13.98. UNI is currently ranked in 22 top-five spots throughout all events. USTFCCCA rankings have UNI in first followed by Illinois State.
The women placed fourth behind Southern Illinois, Indiana State, and Illinois State with a total of 78.5 points. The women hold 11 top-five spots going into this weekend.
