CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI women's golf team will travel to Flossmoor, Illinois to participate in a stroke play tournament hosted by the University of Loyola.
The Panthers will travel to Flossmoor Country Club in Flossmoor, Illinois. Flossmoor is an 18 hole par 72 regulation course. The Flossmoor course is located in the Bloom Township of Cook Country, just outside the city limits of Flossmoor, Illinois.
The Panthers return five contributors from last years in Sydney Eaton, Hannah Bermel, Anne Gradoville, Emily Snelling, and Hailey Bermel. Sydney Eaton led the Panthers last year, finishing as the MVC Tournament runner-up and ending with a 76.29 scoring average. Following closely behind Eaton is Hannah Bermel with a 78.15 stroke average.
The Panthers will be playing a course that was founded in 1899 as Homewood Country Club which was later changed to Flossmoor. The course hosted the PGA Championship in 1920, which Jock Hutchison won. Flossmoor also hosted the U.S. Amateur Championship in 1923.
