Panthers Set to Compete at Tom Botts Invite

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI track and field program is back in action Friday and Saturday at the Tom Botts Invite hosted by the University of Missouri at Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia, Missouri.
The meet begins Friday with the hammer throw, long jump and javelin in the field events and the 3,000-meter steeplechase, the 1,500-meter run and the 5,000-meter run on the track. Field events begin at 3:30 p.m. and track events start at 7 p.m.
Saturday the bulk of the events take place, beginning at 11:30 a.m. with the pole vault. The track events begin at 1 p.m. with the 4x100-meter relay.
The Panthers enter the weekend with 41 individual performances that rank in the top 10 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Sitting at the top of their respective events are Isaac Holtz in the discus, Connor Ham in the 110-meter hurdles, Evan Long in the 400-meter dash and the men's 4x400-meter relay team.
UNI looks to build on a solid weekend at the Iowa Musco Twilight where the Panthers came away with seven event wins and 38 top-three finishes.
