CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The UNI track and field team travels to Madison, Wisconsin, Friday for the Red and White Classic hosted by Wisconsin.

With the MVC Indoor Championship a little more than a week away, Friday's meet is the last chance to improve marks in the regular season.

The UNI men and women currently hold 12 top-3 spots in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Panthers hold two first-place spots going into the weekend. Maddie McCalla leads the MVC in the women's 400-meter dash and Tayshaun Cooper leads the MVC in the men's 60-meter dash.

The men's 4x400-relay still holds the top spot in the conference.

The men's team dropped two spots to No. 17 in the USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Poll and the women fell four spots to No. 24.

In the weekly USTFCCCA #EventSquad rankings, the men are ranked in nine events with the shot put remaining the highest at third overall. The women are ranked in 12 events. Weight throw is the top for the Panthers at 19th in the nation.

Friday's meet begins at 3:30 p.m. The meet consists of three other teams including Marquette, Illinois State, and Wisconsin.
