CEDAR FALLS, Iowa— The UNI Swimming and Diving team defeated Iowa Central and Loras this evening in the Glen F. Henry pool.
Lauren Havertape clocked in at twenty-five seconds, with thirty-nine hundredths of a second (:25.39) for a first-place finish in the 50 freestyle.
The Panthers would take the top three spots in the 200 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 500 freestyle, and 100 backstroke events.
Anika Lillegard-Bouton, Rachelle Houlette, and Khya Barkema went 1-2-3 in the 200 freestyle. Lillegard-Bouton led all times, clocking in at 2:00.21. Houlette swam a 2:00.83, while Barkema rounded the Panthers out at 2:01.87.
Kylie Engstrom led the Panthers in the 200 IM, swimming a 2:15.29. Lauren Vilims clocked in at 2:16.92 in the event, while Kelsey Ostrowski rounded the Panthers out at 2:16.98.
Katie Taylor led all times in the 100 butterfly, swimming a 56.84. Moriah Ross timed in at 58.91 for second-place in the event, while R. Houlette swam a 1:01.58 in the event.
Jenna Willer led the Panthers in the 100 freestyle, swimming a 54.72. Ashleigh Houlette swam into second-place with a time of 55.05. Lauren Kacmarynski rounded out the top-3 in the event, timing in at 56.06.
Jordan McCullough swam a 1:00.62 in the 100 backstroke to win the event. Ostrowski timed in at 1:02.68, while Abby Meyer swam a 1:02.94.
Lauren Vilims timed in at 5:18.23 in the 500 freestyle to lead the Panthers in the event. Emma Baertlein and Sam Galvin took second and third in the 500 freestyle, with times of 5:25.78 and 5:27.02.
Galvin and Baertlein went 1-2 in the 1000 freestyle. Galvin swam an 11:04.38, while Baertlein timed in at 11:05.26.
A. Houlette clocked in at 25.41 in the 50 freestyle, while Natalie Nelson swam a :25.59 in the event.
Crystal Florman, Taylor, R. Houlette, and Ross took first in the 400 medley relay for the Panthers, timing in at 4:00.54. McCullough, Havertape, Alivia Soares, and Engstrom would take second, swimming a 4:09.19. Galvin, Florman, Madison Rinaldi, and Anna Wall took first in the 400 freestyle relay, swimming a 3:41.58.
Olivia Crouse and Rinaldi went second and third in the 100 breaststroke, swimming a 1:10.53 and 1:11.78 respectively.
In the diving well, Alyssa Deuso led all divers on the 3-meter boards, diving a 250.42. Mary Kate Ferlmann dove into second-place 220.94, while Jayden Lovell dove a 216.08 for third. Deuso led the Panthers scoring a 223.79 on the 1-meter boards for second-place. Lovell dove a 222.97 for third-place, while Madison Schoppe rounded the Panthers out at 185.17.
