CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—After winning their first game in program history against Iowa State, the University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team returns home to open Missouri Valley Conference action against Loyola Chicago at 1 pm on Sept. 23.

The Panthers are coming in with a two-game winning streak after defeating Northern Illinois 3-1 and Iowa State 1-0.

The Panthers will look to remain undefeated at home this season and start conference play with a perfect record. The last time the Panthers lost at home was to Montana on Sept. 10, 2017.

In last season's matchup, Loyola's Jenna Szczesny, Katie Grall and Taylor Lambouris each
found the back of the net as Loyola picked up a 3-2 win over UNI on Oct. 21. Lambouris and Szczesny return as possible starters for Loyola. Sydney Hayden was one of the scorers for UNI in last year's match against Loyola, along with Jenny Wick.

Jordyn Rolli leads UNI with two goals scored this season. Six Panthers have scored for UNI this season, totaling eight goals.

- Loyola has won three of the last four meetings against the Panthers. Loyola is looking for the first regular-season road win over UNI after going 0-3-1 in previous attempts.
- Loyola travels to Waterloo, Iowa on Sunday afternoon for a 1 p.m. tilt against UNI in a contest that will serve as the Missouri Valley Conference opener for both sides.
- The Ramblers closed out non-conference play by battling visiting Florida Gulf Coast to a 1-1 double-overtime draw last Sunday at Loyola Soccer Park. Abby Swanson netted her team-best fourth goal of the season in the 61st minute of play.

- Valley teams have posted a .468 non-conference record so far this season. Now their attention turns to conference play; all eight Valley teams begin matches against conference opponents this weekend.
- Illinois State and UNI are the only two teams who are undefeated at home. Illinois State hosts Missouri State on Saturday and UNI hosts Loyola on Sunday.
