Panthers Pick Up Programs First Win Over ISU

AMES, Iowa -Jordyn Rolli gave the Panthers their first win in program history over the Iowa State Cyclones this afternoon.Â
The match was scoreless until the 48th minute when Rolli scored on a deflection of her own blocked shot. It was her second game-winning goal of the season.Â
Jami Reichenberger continued her stellar play so far this season. She faced 16 shots from the Cyclones and tallied two saves in the shutout.Â
Iowa State's Dayja Schwichtenberg faced 10 Panther balls, with 6 shots on goal.Â
Prior to today's match, UNI led the MVC in goals against average at 0.82. Reichenberger led the MVC in save percentage at .885.Â
"I was really pleased with how we played today," said head coach Bruce Erickson. "It was a very good game between two teams aspiring for big things in conference play."

The Panthers look to defend the unbeaten streak at home as they open MVC action against Loyola. Match time is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 23.
