Outdoor Season Opens Friday for UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – After a delayed start to the 2018 outdoor season, the University of Northern Iowa track and field program will finally begin the outdoor slate as the Panthers travel to Terre Haute for the Gibson Invitational.
The Panthers had their first two weeks scrapped due to inclement weather, before finally beginning the 2018 outdoor season on Friday in Terre Haute, Indiana.
UNI will send 30 student-athletes on the men's side and 26 on the women's side, with events slated to begin on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and last through Saturday afternoon. A full schedule of events can be found here.

LAST TIME OUT
The Panthers head outdoors after an indoor season in which UNI claimed five individual conference titles and earned 23 All-MVC honorees. Last outdoor season, UNI finished second in the MVC on the men's side and fifth on the women's side.
UP NEXT
A select group of Panthers will head to Iowa City, Iowa on April 14 for the Musco Twilight, closing out the opening weekend of the outdoor season for UNI.
