Panthers Send Two Relay Teams to Saturday Finals

DRAKE RESULTS
DES MOINES, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa track and field program continued its hot start at the Drake Relays on Thursday, as Panther sophomore Brooke Lorenz finished runner-up in the heptathlon.
The Panthers turned in another successful day at the Blue Oval, as UNI claimed five top-10 finishes on Friday, while qualifying two relay teams for the 4x100 and 4x400 finals on Saturday.
Isaiah Trousil finished runner-up in the 200-meter, while Brette Correy led the women with a fourth-place showing in the 1500-meter. The 4x100 team of Elijah Hicks, Isaiah Trousil, Matt Turcotte and Tayshaun Cooper, as well as the 4x400 team of Correy Hertz, Jojo Frost, Jacob Smith and Sven Van Den Bergh each qualified for their event's finals on Saturday.
UNI will close out the Drake Relays on Saturday, with a full day of action beginning with field events at 9 a.m. and track commencing at 10:30 a.m.

UP NEXT
Following this week's action in Des Moines, the Panthers will compete at the Wisconsin Twilight on Friday, May 4 in Madison. The Panthers will compete at the MVC Outdoor Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana on May 11-13.
