UNI Set for Jim Emmerich Invite

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa. – After a dominating performance last week, the UNI track and field program hits the road Saturday for Brookings, South Dakota as the Panthers compete at the Jim Emmerich Invite.

Field events will begin at 12 p.m. CT, with track competition beginning at 12:15 p.m. CT and lasting through the late afternoon. For a full schedule, visit www.gojacks.com or go here.

Notable teams joining UNI on the track this weekend are: Iowa Central, Minnesota, Omaha, North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota and host-school South Dakota State.

Last time out, UNI won 23 of 30 events at the Panther Open. UNI took seven events in field action, while earning 16 top spots in track events. A total of 25 different Panthers earned wins last Saturday, while Isaac Holtz (weight throw, shot put), Connor Blough (400-meter dash, 4x400 relay), Maddie Bell (60-meter dash, 200-meter dash), Lauren Frederick (60-meter hurdles, 4x400 relay) and Jolissa Kriegel (400-meter dash, 4x400 relay) each won twice.
