UNI Soccer Draws At Mankato

Mankato, MN—The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team finished with a 2-2 draw against the Mankato Mavericks this evening.

Brynell Yount scored an early goal in the eighth minute of play, on an assist from Kelsey Yarrow. The Mavericks would come back and score two goals in the first 45-minutes of play.

Jordan Rolli would tie the game back at 2 in the 75-minute.

The Panthers and Mavericks participated in a shoot-out at the end of the game, with the Panthers winning 5-1.

The Panthers begin regular season action on August 20, as they travel to Chicago State for a 1 p.m. kick-off.

Brandt Named to Preseason All-Conference

Senior Sarah Brandt was named to the Missouri Valley Conference preseason all-conference team, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Brandt played in 19 games last season, starting 16 games. In competition last season, Brandt had 44 shots with 22 shots on goal and six goals throughout the season.
