UNI Swimming and Diving returns home for South Dakota

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa--The University of Northern Iowa women's swimming and diving team returns home on Friday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m., hosting the South Dakota Coyotes swimming and diving team.

Action will take place at the Glen F. Henry pool at the Wellness and Recreation Center on UNI's campus.

Last Year in the Pool

The Panthers traveled to Vermillion, South Dakota last season and walked away with a victory over the Coyotes, 167-133. The Panthers won eight of the 16 events. Rachel Siebenaller, Molly Lembezeder, Veronica Herrmann and Crystal Florman are just some of the Panthers that had impressive performances at South Dakota and continue to keep their pace in the pool.

Weekly Honors
Freshman Katie Taylor was named the Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer-of-the-Week, as was announced on Tuesday. Â Taylor has been making a splash in the pool, taking home multiple first places finishes in competition last weekend against Nebraska and Nebraska-Omaha.

Last Time in Action
The Panthers are returning from a trip to Nebraska, where they competed against Nebraska and Nebraska-Omaha. The Panthers fell to Nebraska, 191-105. Sophomore Alyssa Deuso had her best performance this evening as a Panther against Nebraska. Deuso took fourth place in the 3-meter diving with a score of 237.38 and fifth place in the 1-meter diving, with a score of 218.85. Freshmen Katie Taylor, Jordan McCullough, Kylie Engstrom and Moriah Ross all had impressive performances both nights.
