2015: INDOOR: Scored team points at her first MVC Championships (2/28), qualifying for the finals of the 800 meters … ran a personal-best time of 2:13.33 in the preliminary race of the 800 at the MVC Championships … recorded a PR in the 600 meters at the UNI-Dome Open (2/20) with a second place finish and time of 1:37.65 … also turned in a personal record in the 1,000 meters at the Panther Open (1/17) with a time of 3:03.40.
2015: OUTDOOR: Ran an outdoor personal-best in the 800 meters of 2:16.28 at the Beach Invitational (4/17) … also competed in the 1,500 meters at the ESU Spring Open (3/28), coming in with a time of 4:57.01 … earned the MVC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award and was named to the MVC Honor Roll.
High School: Lettered in cross country and track and field at Urbandale High School … earned All-State in cross country in 2012 and 2013 … was named the team captain in 2013 … was named the cross country MVP in 2011 … helped her team to a cross country district championship in 2013 … holds the school record in the 400 meter dash, distance medley, sprint medley and the 4X400 meter relay … earned Elite All-State for the sprint medley relay in 2011 and 2012 … was named the Track and Field MVP in 2010 … earned Academic All-Conference for track and cross country from 2010-2014.
Personal: Daughter of Julie McNees … has one sibling, Eli … majoring in exercise science … was part of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society while at Urbandale High School … also part of the Honor Roll.
