Panther cross country wraps season at NCAA Regionals

STILLWATER, OKLA. ---- The UNI cross country team concluded its 2025 season on Friday morning at the NCAA Midwest Regional at OSU Cross Country Course.
UNI took 18th out of 32 teams in the women's six-kilometer race, with the men taking 30th in its lone ten-kilometer competition of the year. Oklahoma State University took first place in both the men's and women's races.Â
Opening with the women's 6K, Amelia Hill topped the Panther field with a 52nd place finish (21:42), followed by Lindsey Sonderman in 73rd in a time of 21:59.Â
Leah Klapatauskas ran a time of 22:13 for an 86th place showing, followed by Meghan Wheatley in 95th (22:20) and Melody Ochana in 129th (22:44). Rounding out the women's race in 187th was Kaylee Woolery (23:31) and Clare Wright in 194th (23:42).Â
On the men's side, Micah Rees notched a new personal-best in the 10K race placing 147th in a time of 34:00. Ty Getz meanwhile, running in his first collegiate 10k, finished 157th in a time of 34:11.Â
