Brette Jensen

Former track and field and cross country standout Brette Jensen returned to UNI in 2018 upon graduating in May 2018 with a degree in elementary and early childhood education.
Jensen was a three-time NCAA West Regional Preliminaries qualifier. She scored points in the 800-meter run in all eight conference track and field championships in which she competed. She was a two-time 800-meter run MVC champion. She helped the Panthers earn a cross country title with a 10th-place finish at the 2016 MVC Championships.
Jensen was the first Panther to ear the MVC's Elite 17 Award, given to the athlete with the highest GPA at the conference championship.
A native of Epworth, Iowa, Jensen graduated from Western Dubuque High School and finished her prep career with four different school records (4X800, distance medley, 4X400 and the 800 meters).
She and husband, Tyler, reside in Cedar Falls.Â
