UNI men’s and women’s golf head East for Fall action

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI men's golf is traveling out to the SIUE Dolenc Invitational for their fourth tournament of the season in Madison, Illinois. They are coming off the Bluejay Invitational where they individually placed between 2nd and 43rd place.
This year's SIUE Dolenc Invitational is set to take place on Monday, September 28th, through Tuesday, September 29th. On Monday, they will play two rounds of golf, and on Tuesday they will play the final round. The Panthers are set to play at the Gateway National Golf Links, which is a par 71 and spans 6,985 yards. The field this year includes Bellarmine, Bradley (1), Eastern Illinois, Idaho (1), Indian Hills CC, Lindenwood, Missouri State (1), Northern Iowa, Morehead State (1), SIUE (4) (host), Southern Indiana (1), Southern Utah, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech (1), UT Martin (1), Weber State, Western Illinois, and Kansas State. Just like last week at the Bluejay Invitational, the SIUE Dolenc Invitational is also individual play. Live results will be made available online through Scoreboard. Scorecards will also be posted on social media after the completion of a round.
The Panthers are coming off the Bluejay Invitational, where they placed as high as 2nd place. The rest of the team was spread out between 12th and 43rd place. Tanner Dinnebier led UNI, finishing second overall with a three-round score of 211 (-5). Drew Spooner had a strong showing, tying for 12th with a 217 (+1). Sam Wahman placed 27th after shooting a 227 (+11), including an even-par 72 in the second round. Zach McCarty and Anthony Galvin finished close together, tying for 33rd and 36th with scores of 232 (+16) and 233 (+17). Davis Tripp finished 42nd with a 236 (+20), while Lawsen Justesen rounded out the Panthers in a tie for 43rd with a 241 (+25).
UNI women's golf is headed to its third tournament this season at the "Diane Thomason Invitational" in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. They are coming off a 2nd-place finish at the "Stampede at the Creek" in Nebraska.
This year's Diane Thomason Invitational will take place on September 28-29th. Rounds one and two will take place on the 28th, and round three on the 29th. Live results will be made available online through Scoreboard. Scorecards will also be posted on social media after the completion of a round. Set at Davenport Country Club, it is 6,210 total yards, and the par is 71. This year's field includes 13 teams from around the country, including Bowling Green, Bradley, Drake, Iowa (host), Missouri State, Montana State, North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Omaha, South Dakota, St. Thomas, and Western Michigan.
The Panthers are coming off a 2nd-place finish after the Stampede at the Creek. Addie Berg led UNI individually, tying for sixth after shooting a 230 (+14), her best finish of the season. Greenlee Smock was close behind, finishing tied for eighth with a 231 (+15), while Camille Wood tied for 11th with a 233 (+17). Brinley Carlson finished 16th after carding a 235 (+19), followed by Jane Petersen in 18th with a 237 (+21). Lauren Nuss rounded out the Panthers' lineup, tying for 23rd with a 245 (+29).
