Panther men's golf wraps up the Bluejay Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The UNI men's golf team wrapped up play at the Bluejay Invitational in Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday, September 22nd, with individual placements. This tournament was individual placement and no team scoring. Leading the way in the invitational with a one-stroke win was Creighton's Owen Price. He finished with a score of 210 (-6).
Tanner Dinnebier once again led UNI in scoring with a five-under score of 211 over three rounds. He was one stroke off of first place, carding a 74-68-69, turning it up on round two and three. This is his lowest placement on the leaderboard since the WIU Intercollegiate last year, where he also finished second. Drew Spooner finished in T-12th place with a score of 217 (+1). This is the highest he's ever placed in a tournament in his collegiate career. Next for the Panthers is Sam Wahman who placed 27th with a card of 227 (+11). Wahman scored even in round two with a 72. Next is Zach McCarty who shot a 232 (+16) which placed him at T-33rd place. Right behind him is his teammate Anthony Galvin who fired a 233 (+17) which puts him at T-36th. Davis Tripp finished fifth for the Panthers with a score of 236 (+20) putting him in 42nd place. Then finishing out the Panthers is Lawsen Justesen in T-43rd place and a score of 241 (+25).
UP NEXT
The Panthers head to play in the SIUE Dolenc Invitational in Madison, Illinois, at the Gateway National Golf Links. Play goes on Sept. 28-29th.
