CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The UNI women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Illinois State in home action, falling in both doubles and singles play.

Illinois State secured the doubles point with wins across all three courts. At No. 1, Lucia Schuknecht and Andjela Raznatovic fell 6-2 to Silvia Pomarolli and Vittoria Benedetti. Abbie Peterson and Yangjiaxin Li were defeated 6-2 at No. 2, while Andrea Noa Galin and Kayla Santosa dropped a 6-1 decision at No. 3.

In singles action, the Redbirds continued their momentum, claiming all six matches. Schuknecht battled at the top spot but was defeated 6-3, 6-3. Li fell at No. 2, 6-1, 6-2, while Noa Galin pushed her opponent to a second-set tiebreak before falling 6-4, 7-6 at No. 3.

At No. 4, Peterson was defeated 6-4, 2-1 in a match that went unfinished. Santosa dropped a 6-4, 6-4 contest at No. 5, and Sedina Begic fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
