UNI men’s golf places third at the Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nev. --- UNI men's golf finished its second competition of the spring season at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder Creek, Nevada coming in third place as a team, carding a total score of 891 (+27). South Dakota State took home the team title with a final score of 878 (+14), with their own Bryson Mercier claiming the individual title with a score of 210 (-6)
The Panthers were led by JD Pollard, who finished in a tie for fourth place, shooting a score of 217 (+1), highlighted by an eagle in round one on hole 13. Connor VanWeelden placed seventh with a final score of 220 (+4), sinking two eagles in round two on holes two and 16. Tanner Dinnebier shot a 230 (+14) finishing in 24th place with eight birdies.
Junior Nile Petersen finished in a four-way tie for 29th place with a total score of 232 (+16), with 13 birdies in his first outing of the season. Calen Bishop placed in a tie for 43rd place shooting a 237 (+21). Cooper Hanson tied for 61st place with a score of 245 (+29), competing as an individual in his first tournament of the season.
UP NEXT
The Panthers will head to Springfield, Missouri for the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate on March 17-18 at the Twin Oaks Country Club, hosted by Missouri State University.
