Panther swim & dive: Nine land on MVC Scholar-Athlete Team

ST. LOUIS --- The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) on Friday announced the members of its women's swimming and diving scholar-athlete teams for the 2024-25 season.

Swimmers Faith Larsen, Olivia Chambers, Hannah Nedder, Sydney Aird, Nikki Walters, Hallory Domnick and Abby Lear, along with divers Erica Peters and Avery Hogan were all selected to this year's team.

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must have completed at least one year at their MVC institution and be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically. Additionally, they must be an All-MVC performer with a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA), finish in the top-24 individual at the MVC Championships with a 3.70 GPA or participate in the conference championships with a 3.90 GPA.

The Panthers finished fourth out of nine teams in hosting this year's MVC Championships in Waukee. Larsen swept both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events for Northern Iowa, while Larsen Lear, Waren Graeve and Morgan Meyer won and set a new conference record in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
