CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Junior Avery Hogan and senior Erica Peters will be representing the UNI swimming and diving team on Monday and Tuesday as they look to qualify for the NCAA Division I Women's Championships at the NCAA Zone Diving Zones being held on the Texas A&M University campus.
Hogan will be competing in the one-meter springboard competition on Monday, as Peters will be taking her talents to the three-meter springboard portion of the event on Tuesday. Prelims will begin for both events at 12 p.m. CT, with finals following later in the day at 3 p.m. CT. Live results are available on Dive Meets.Â
A Waterloo native, Hogan will make her first appearance at the NCAA Diving Zones after posting a winning score of 272.60, the fifth-highest mark in school history, in the one-meter springboard at the UNO Diving Invite. Hogan, the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Diver of the Year, placed second in the event as the conference championships last week in Evansville, Indiana while also winning the MVC three-meter title. She also posted strong finishes throughout the season, including first in the one-meter at the Coyote Extravaganza (247.40) and second at the Coyote Invitational (240.40). A score of 257.40 secured her first against St. Thomas in a dual meet earlier in the season.Â
Ankeny, Iowa, native Erica Peters returns to the NCAA Diving Zones for the second time in her career in the three-meter competition after posting a personal-best score of 283.30, third all-time in program history, against Iowa State and St. Thomas.Â
Peters looks to cap off a strong senior season in Texas following a third-place finish in the three-meter board competition with a score of 273.70 at the MVC Championships. Other notable finishes for her include a second-place finish at the Coyote Extravaganza (252.85), first against Iowa State and St. Thomas with a 283.30, and first at the Coyote Invite with a winning score of 242.40.Â
