SCOUTING INDIANA STATE
The Sycamores are in their first season under the leadership of head coach Matthew Graves, who took over a program coming off a 32-7 season, a runner-up finish in the 2024 NIT Tournament and a flurry of roster turnover.
Indiana State returns to the Hulman Center amid a season-long five-game skid, most recently coming up short in an 85-81 loss on Tuesday at Illinois State. This year's Sycamore squad was picked to finish eighth in the MVC's preseason poll.
The Sycamores post the league's top scoring offense with 81.2 points per game, largely thanks to a league-high 30 three-point attempts per game. Indiana State also leads the MVC in defensive rebounds per game (27.2) and bench points per game (32.7).
Samage Teel, the league's second leading scorer, has posted 16.6 points a game as well as 93 assists, while Jaden Daughtry leads the MVC with a 61.3% shooting clip, plus 12.9 points per game. Aaron Gray has led the Sycamores with 5.5 rebounds a game and 9.2 points.
