Panther student-athletes recognized on 2025-26 MVC Honor Roll lists

ST. LOUIS — Over 190 UNI student-athletes were recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) on Thursday afternoon as the league announced its academic honors for the 2025-26 school year.

More than 2,500 student-athletes from around the MVC were selected to the conference's honor roll, by virtue of recording a minimum 3.20 grade point average (GPA) for either the fall 2025 and/or spring 2026 term as a full-time enrolled student-athlete.

Of the Panther student-athletes who landed on the MVC Honor Roll, 118 earned the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award for posting a 3.50 GPA in each of the previous two semesters and have participated in athletics for a minimum of two years and enrolled for at least two years. UNI's 118 selections to the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award were second-most in the league only to Indiana State (125).

Additionally, ten UNI student-athletes were honored with the MVC Board of Directors Academic Excellence Award for notching a minimum 3.80 GPA, participating in athletics for a minimum of two years and being within at least 18 credit hours of graduation.

The ten earning the highest level of academic recognition for the MVC included Hunter Jacobson (men's basketball), Ryley Goebel (women's basketball), Addison Brunner, Adalyn Reynolds and Ava Smithson (softball), Sydney Aird and Rachel Rolow (swimming and diving), Mary Kelly and Kaylin Lacher (women's track and field/cross country) and Cassidy Hartman (volleyball).
