CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI women's golf will tee off Monday morning at the Ozarks National Invitational in Hollister, Missouri hosted by Missouri State.
UNI competed at the Ozarks National Golf Course last season where Mckenna Mallow finished in a three-way tie for first place individually. Mallow had an impressive final round, carding a 69 (-3) and sank a total of seven birdies. The Panthers finished ninth place overall as a team with a score of 928.
UNI will be joined by Bellarmine, Creighton, Indiana State, Lindenwood, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Toledo in this year's field. The Ozarks National Golf Course is set at a par 72 with a yardage of 6,072. Monday and Tuesday's rounds will begin at 10 a.m. CT, with Wednesday's third round teeing off at 9 a.m. CT.
The Panthers are coming off of an 11th-place finish as a team at the Jackrabbit Invitational earlier this month in Nevada led by Victoria Hualde, who tied for 24th overall after tying her career-best round of 73 (+1) in the second round to finish with a total score of 222. Anna Jensen was not far behind, tying for 29th overall and carding a 224.
Addison Berg competed as an individual and tied for 34th overall after notching a 72 in her final round, while McKenna Mallow scored a 234 (+18) in a tie for 61st place. Anna Nacos tied for 70th with consecutive rounds of 70 to finish the tournament at 239 (+23) and Allison Nuss followed in a tie for 76th place with a 248 (+32).
