Pollard leads Panthers to a strong comeback finish at Twin Oaks Country Club

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. --- UNI's JD Pollard finished in a tie for fifth place individually as the Panther men's golf team hit the links at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate at Twin Oaks Country Club in southwest Missouri. The Panthers finished in a tie for eighth place overall out of 12 teams shooting a season-low team score of 856 (+4).
Pollard, carding a total of 208 (-5), opened the tournament with a 72 (+1) and 73 (+2) in the first two rounds, then followed up with a career low round of 63 (-8) with seven birdies and an eagle. Griffin Parker followed Pollard with a score of 211 (-2), carding successful rounds of 73 (+2), 69 (-2), and 69 (-2) finishing in a tie for 15th.
Brock Seiser tied for 39th shooting 217 (+4) with rounds of 75 (+4), 72 (+1), and 70 (-1). Connor Van Weelden was not far behind in a tie for 51st, carding a 221 (+8) bring in rounds of 74 (+3), 72 (+1), and 75 (+4)
Tanner Dinnebier took 67th place with a score of 226 (+13). Brandon McCarty played as an individual and placed in a tie for 80th shooting 242 (+29)

The Panther men will return to action April 6-7 at the WIU Intercollegiate hosted by Western Illinois in Silvis, Illinois at TPC Deere Run.
