CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI men's golf heads to southwest Missouri on Monday morning to begin play in this year's Twin Oaks Intercollegiate, hosted by Missouri State University at the Twin Oaks Country Club.
The Panthers will begin play at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning with a two round 36-hole shotgun start, followed by a 9 a.m. 18-hole round on Tuesday morning. A par-71 course, the 18-hole club stretches just over 6,700 yards.
This year's tournament field includes a number of Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) teams, including Bradley, Drake and Missouri State, as well as several key challengers in Austin Peay, Evangel, Lindenwood, Omaha, Oral Roberts, SIU Edwardsville, UT Martin, Western Illinois and Wichita State.
JD Pollard led the Panthers last time out in a tie for tenth place individually at the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club to open the spring season. UNI finished the tournament in a tie for seventh place overall out of 12 teams.
Pollard carded a 218 (+2) to open the spring season with a 76 (+4) and followed up with two rounds under par at 71 (-1). Connor Van Weelden followed Pollard with a score of 222 (+6), carding a successful first round under par 71 (-1) placing him in a tie for 19th.
Griffin Parker tied for 54th shooting 232 (+16) with rounds of 78 (+6), 79 (+7), and 75 (+3). Freshman Tanner Dinnebier brought in a score of 233 (+17) placing in a tie for 57th.
Brock Seiser and Jack Moody both tied for 59th carding 234 (+18). Seiser put together rounds of 83 (+11), 74 (+2), and 77 (+5). Moody had rounds of 78 (+6), 80 (+8), and 76 (+4).
