Hualde leads UNI women's golf in spring opener in Nevada

FINAL RESULTS

BOULDER CITY, Nev. — UNI women's golf concluded its first tournament of the spring season on Tuesday afternoon, placing 11th as a team at the Jackrabbit Invitational in southern Nevada in a competition hosted by South Dakota State.

All five Panthers shot a final round in the 70s, with Anna Jensen shooting a team-best 70 on Tuesday with four birdies, the best single-round score by all UNI golfers during the three-round event. Bradley claimed the team title with a combined score of 847.

Northern Iowa was led by Victoria Hualde, who shot a 75 (+3) and 73 (+1) in Monday's first two rounds, and 74 (+2) on Tuesday to tie for 24th place individually with a final score of 222 (+6). Anna Jensen meanwhile tied for 29th place after scoring 74 in the opening round (+2) and 80 (+8) in the second round. After a strong finish on Tuesday, Jensen finished with 224 (+8).

Addison Berg, competing individually, tied for 34th on the leaderboard after shooting even par in the third round to finish with 225 (+9), while McKenna Mallow scored a 234 (+18) in a tie for 61st place. Anna Nacos tied for 70th with consecutive rounds of 70 to finish the tournament at 239 (+23) as Allison Nuss followed in a tie for 76th place with a 248 (+32).

UP NEXT
The Panthers will head to Branson, Missouri for the Ozarks National Invitational, March 25-27 at the Ozarks National Golf Course, hosted by Missouri State.
