Panther women's golf takes third place out of 12 in Kentucky. UNI returns to the link in October in Omaha.

PADUCAH, Ky. --- Three Panthers cracked the top-ten on the leaderboard as UNI women's golf finished in third place at Murray State's "The Velvet" at the Country Club of Paducah on Tuesday afternoon.

UNI, whose three top-ten finishers are its most since the 2021 MVC Championships, finished just six strokes behind Belmont, who claimed the team title with a final score of 921. Belmont's Chloe Tarkany took home the individual title after winning a playoff against Murray State's Payton Carter after both carded a 226 (+13) over the course of the two-day event.

Anna Jensen led the Panther pack with a fourth place finish in Paducah, carding a 74 (+3) in both the second and third rounds to finish with a final score of 228 (+15) with nine birdies. Anna Nacos recorded her first top-ten finish of her career in a tie for fifth place with a 229 (+16), carding a career-best round of 74 (+3) in Monday's second round. Victoria Hualde placed eighth overall with a 231 (+18), shooting a career-best 73 (+2) in the second round.

Allison Nuss finished tied for 39th place after carding a 78 (+7) in round two, while McKenna Mallow, competing as an individual tied for 43rd, shooting 80 (+9) in the final two rounds of play. Addison Berg wrapped her second collegiate tournament in 53rd place, tying her season-best with a 78 (+7) in the third round and finishing with a final score of 252 (+39).

The Panthers return to the course, Oct. 2-3 at the Big O Classic, hosted by Creighton University at the Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Nebraska.
