Panther women's golf: Hualde ties for 12th as UNI wraps season at MVC Championships

WATERLOO, Ill. — Victoria Hualde tied for 12th overall on the leaderboard as UNI women's golf wrapped up the 2022-23 season on Tuesday during the final round of the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships at the Annbriar Golf Course.
The Panthers finished in ninth place overall for a second consecutive season as Missouri State went wire-to-wire to clinch the team title, nine strokes ahead of Evansville and Belmont, both who tied for second place. Evansville's Kate Petrova claimed the individual tournament title after winning a playoff against Drake's Kristen Giles and Murray State's Payton Carter.
Hualde finished the three-round tournament by matching her second round score of 80 (+8) again on Tuesday, sinking 10 shots for par in the final 18 holes of play. Anna Jensen tied for 30th place after carding an 83 (+11) for a second consecutive round with a fairly even performance on the back nine.
Anna Nacos scored an 82 (+10) with a pair of birdies on the 15th and 17th holes, as well as par on ten holes in her final round to tie for 35th place. Lily Bredemeier shot her best round of the tournament with an 80 (+8) to tie for 40th, while freshman McKenna Mallow tied for 46th after notching an 82 (+10) in the final round with a birdie on the 14th green.
