
UNI women's golf: Panthers sit in seventh place after second round of MVC Championships

WATERLOO, Ill. — UNI women's golf wrapped up the second round of the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships on Monday afternoon at Annbriar Golf Course with freshman Victoria Hualde maintaining a spot in the top-ten on the individual leaderboard.
The Panthers dropped to seventh place in the team standings after shooting a combined score of 332 on Tuesday, following a 320 in Sunday's first round. Missouri State continues to lead in the team race, sitting seven strokes ahead of second place Belmont.
Haulde shot an 80 (+8) on Monday, three strokes off a 77 (+5) in the opening round and is tied for seventh place overall after a pair of birdies on the ninth and 12th holes. Anna Jensen sits in a tie for 23rd after shooting an 83 (+11) with a birdie on the third hole.
Anna Nacos carded an 84 (+12) and is tied for 27th place, sinking a putt for birdie on the fifth green, while Lily Bredemeier overcame a set of tough bogey shots with five holes shooting for par at 86 (+14), tying for 41st. Freshman McKenna Mallow improved on her first round score of 85 (+13) yesterday with an 83 (+11) on Monday, shooting par on half the course to sit in a tie for 48th place.
The third and final round of the MVC Championships will tee off at 8:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday morning.
