UNI men's golf battle weather for tenth place finish at Big O Classic

FINAL RESULTS

ELKHORN, Neb. — After being delayed by storms on Tuesday afternoon, UNI men's golf finished play in the Omaha area at the Indiana Creek Golf Course to round out the 2023 men's edition of the Big O Classic, hosted by Omaha.

The Panthers placed tenth in the 14-team field with a team score of 901 as the host Omaha Mavericks took the team title (878). Gaspar Glaudas of Indian Hills Community College claimed the individual title after shooting a 210 (-6).

Redshirt senior Griffin Parker led UNI after tying for 18th place, shooting rounds of 70 (-2), 76 (+4) and 76 for a final scorecard of 222 (+6). JD Pollard finished in a tie for 26th after carding a 224 (+8), shooting back-to-back rounds of 72 (E) and an 80 (+8) on Tuesday.

Brandon McCarty saw action in his second tournament of the season, tying for 43rd place with a 230 (+14) after shooting 75 (+3), 76 (+4) and 79 (+7), while Jack Moody put together rounds of 74 (+2), 80 (+8) and 77 (+5) to finish with 231(+15) and a tied 47th place finish.

Freshman Tanner Dinnebier and Brock Seiser both tied for 65th place with a 237 (+21) over the course of the three-round tournament, with Dinnebier shooting 83 (+11), followed by consecutive rounds of 77 (+5). Seiser, competing as an individual in his collegiate debut, shot rounds of 76 (+4), 78 (+6) and 83 (+11).
