Dinnebier takes first place finish in Drake Dual

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Tanner Dinnebier finished in first place after shooting eight under par, leading the way for the Panthers on Wednesday in a dual meet against Drake as UNI came up short in a two-round dual against the Bulldogs at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club.
The Panthers had a great showing shooting 297 (+9) in the first round and 288 (E) in the second totalling 585 (+9) for the day. This was the men's lowest two-round score for the fall season, but it wasn't enough to edge off Drake who shot 571 (-5).
Dinnebier led the purple and gold shooting an 136 (-8) with two rounds of 71 (-1) and 65 (-7) to top the field, edging out Drake's Emil Riegger by one stroke for the top spot on the leaderboard. Griffin Parker and Brock Seiser both tied for sixth place after shooting rounds of 75 (+3) and 75 (+3) respectively, carding a total of 150 (+6).
Jack Moody took ninth place shooting 77 (+5) and 75 (+3) for a final score of 152 (+8), while JD Pollard finished in tenth carding a 154 (+10) with rounds of 76 (+4) and 78 (+6). Brandon McCarty tied for 11th, putting together rounds of 80 (+8) and 77(+5) for a total score of 157 (+13).

UNI will wrap up its fall season Oct. 9-10 at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational hosted by Wichita State at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas.
