CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - UNI women's tennis got wins at the top singles and No. 4 singles spots, but Bradley pulled out the team win, 5-2
The Panthers are now 4-11 overall and 0-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Bradley improved to 8-11 overall and 2-1 in the MVC.
Bradley opened the dual earning the doubles point by winning all three matchups.Â
Darta Dalecka tied up the team score with a win at No. 1 singles in two sets, 6-3 and 6-0. Andrijana Brkic also earned a point at No. 4 singles with a marathon match after losing the opening set, 6-4. She bounced back to take the next two, 6-4 and 7-5.Â
Thaissa Moreira forced Bradley's Nina Marjanovic into a tiebreaker set, but eventually fell 1-6, 6-2 and 6-3.Â
UNI will honor two Panthers Sunday on Senior Day. Olivia Fain and Emma Carr are wrapping up their UNI careers.Â
Olivia Fain won the MVC Championships in doubles action in flight 3 in the 2019 fall season. She is the daughter of Michael and Kathryn and will graduate with a degree in biology. She has already been accepted into the University of Iowa's master's program for athletic training, where she will attend next year. Fain is a Waterloo, Iowa, native and attended Columbus High School.
Emma Carr is graduating early and using the extended COVID-19 season to compete as a graduate student. Carr is the daughter of Mark and majored in biology. She is from Dallas, Texas, and attended Hockaday High School.Â

The Redbirds were leading the conference until the Drake Bulldogs knocked them out for the first-place spot earlier today. Drake edged out Illinois State, 4-3, to hand ISU its first conference loss. ISU is now 12-6 overall and 2-1 in the league.
