UNI women's tennis competes at Redbird Invite

In doubles, UNI battled in three different flights. Yangjiaxin Li and Andjela Raznatovic dropped all three matches to Belmont, Illinois State, and Valparaiso in Flight 1. The duo of Kanyanut Sudsaard and Abbie Peterson fell in their opener against Illinois State before finishing with two walkover losses. Mylavarapu and Sedina Begic secured UNI's lone doubles win of the weekend by walkover against Illinois State after dropping their first two matches to Missouri State and Valparaiso.
In singles action. Mylavarapu earned UNI's best finish of the tournament. After dropping a tight three-set match to Jeladze (Belmont) and a straight-set loss to Kadowaki (Missouri State), she closed the weekend with a walkover victory against Lowe (Illinois State) to place seventh in Flight 5. However, Li, Raznatovic, Sudsaard, Peterson, Begic, and Meeky each competed through multiple rounds but were unable to advance in their matches.

The Panthers return to action on October 16 at the ITA Regional Championships in Norman, Oklahoma.
