CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - UNI football fans have two ways to celebrate the spring season with a tailgate event April 22 and the annual game April 23.Â
Both family-friendly events are free. The April 22 spring tailgate event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and will include free food for fans and a prize drawing. Beer will be sold on site.Â
UNI's youngest fans will be treated to a skills clinic led by Panther student-athletes. The clinic is free, but youths from kindergarten through eighth grade are encouraged to sign up. REGISTER BY CLICKING HERE.
This is a chance for the community to hear from coaches and players and meet the new faces of the football program. It's also an opportunity to see the Doug & Ann Goschke Practice Facility just north of the UNI-Dome. In the case of inclement weather, the event may move indoors to the UNI-Dome. Season tickets will be available for purchase or renewal.Â
The following day, UNI football will host its annual spring game from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the UNI-Dome. The event is also free and will showcase the newest student-athletes. Concession stands will be closed. Fans are allowed to bring in snacks to the event.Â
