UNI Athletics sets All-Sports Reunion for Homecoming 2026

Panthers to welcome back athletes, coaches and managers for all current and formerly sponsored sports on Oct. 10, 2026.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI Athletics Department on Thursday announced that it will hold an all-sports reunion as part of the 2026 homecoming celebration.
The event, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 will be open to all former UNI student-athletes, as well as spirit squad members, coaches and managers across all current and formerly sponsored teams. This event will also serve as part of the conclusion of the university's sesquicentennial celebration.
"With the university celebrating 150 years, it offered the opportunity to acknowledge the impact of athletics in the history of the institution," said Director of Athletics Megan Franklin. "Every student-athlete and coach across our entire all-time sport portfolio mattered during their playing career. It was important to me that all student-athletes and coaching alumni, regardless of whether we sponsor the sport today, know that we celebrate their contributions and value the relationships."
"The relationships with living student-athletes and coach alumni are important for me personally and to Panther Athletics coaches and administrative staff," Franklin added. "The All-Sports All-Time reunion offers a celebration and the mark of reconnecting, notably by restarting sport program reunions for those programs not currently sponsored in the years following the Homecoming 2026 reunion. I am excited for this gathering to hear the stories, meet new alumni, and see connections across the generations!"
The reunion will take place at a pregame tailgate for UNI's homecoming football game. Additional information, including times, locations and how to RSVP for the event through the UNI Alumni Association will be made available at a later date.
