
UNI Women's Soccer Tie St. Thomas

ST. PAUL, Minnesota – The UNI women's soccer team competed in their 3rd regular season game and first double overtime contest of the year with the University of St. Thomas. The game ended in a 0-0 double overtime tie.
Through the first 45 minutes of the play the Panthers and Tommies were tied 0-0. The Panthers collected 10 shots with 4 shots on goal in the first half while the Tommies tallied 7 shots and 3 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Caitlin Richards added 3 saves in the first half while St. Thomas's Olivia Graupmann grabbed 4 saves.
The Panthers and Tommies battled through a scoreless second half to push the Panthers into their first overtime period of the season. The Panthers recorded 5 shots and 3 shots on goal while holding the Tommies to 3 shots and 2 shots on goal.
The Panthers and Tommies went through the first overtime recording 1 shot apiece. The two teams then entered the final 10 minutes of play in the second overtime period. The Panthers finished the contest with 18 shots and 9 shots on goal led by Ashley Harrington with 4 shots and 2 shots on goal while Izzy Minshall added 2 shots and 2 shots on goal. St. Thomas recorded 12 shots with 5 shots on goal.
Goalkeepers Caitlin Richards finished with 3 saves in 45 minutes in the net. Brittney Bentheimer entered the game in the second half and recorded 65 minutes in the net.
