Panthers Set To Host Salukis For Final Regular Season Series

This Weekend's Action:
The Panther softball team will host the Salukis of Southern Illinois at Robinson-Dresser Sports Complex for the final three game regular season series. Two games will be played on Saturday (May 8) and one game on Sunday (May 9).

Saturday, May 8^th:
12:00 p.m. UNI / Southern Illinois
2:30 p.m. UNI / Southern Illinois

Sunday, May 9^th:
11:00 a.m. UNI / Southern Illinois

All games can be watched on ESPN3.

The Panthers:

UNI went 2-1 against the Redbirds of Illinois State May 1 – May 2. The Redbirds still currently sit in first place in the Missouri Valley Conference with the Panthers in second.

The Panthers have an impressive home record of 12-3 while playing at Robinson-Dresser Sports Complex.

Sammey Bunch currently sits 2^nd in the Missouri Valley Conference for both home runs in a season (22) and home runs in a career (56). She needs two more in each category to tie both records.

Seniors Adara Opiola and Sammey Bunch will be honored for Senior day following the final game on Saturday. Previous 2020 Seniors Olivia Brooks, Ashley Chesser, Tianna Drahn, Jenny Kohl, and Jaclyn Spencer will also be recognized due to COVID-19 last season.
