UNI Softball To Take On Drake

Cedar Falls, Iowa - UNI Softball will travel to Des Moines, Iowa to take on the Bulldogs of Drake on Tuesday, April 20^th for a two-game double header. The first game will start at 3:00 pm CT with the second game to follow. The Bulldogs have an overall record of 11-25 and 5-10 in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Panthers sit with an overall record of 21-14 and 11-4 in Missouri Valley Conference play.

The Panthers:
The Panthers went 3-1 on the week (Apr. 12 - Apr. 18) winning against Iowa State and picking up two wins and losing one against Loyola-Chicago.

In the month of April UNI has gone 10-1, including three wins against Evansville (Apr. 2–3) and Valparaiso (Apr. 10–11). One win against Iowa State (Apr. 14) and two wins along with one loss against Loyola-Chicago (Apr. 16-17)

The Panthers sit 2^nd in the conference play (11-4) with twelve games to be played before the MVC tournament in Evansville, Indiana.

Senior Sammey Bunch continues to climb the list of all time records. Bunch currently is 1^st in the Missouri Valley Conference for Batting Average in a single season with .476 and T4th with 18 home runs. In her career Bunch sits T2nd in the Missouri Valley Conference in all three categories including with 55 career home runs (58), 186 runs (189) and has 171 RBI's (192).

The Panthers have outscored their opponents 99-31 in the month of April.
