Cedar Falls, Iowa - UNI Softball will host in state rival Iowa State on April 14 for a single non-conference game at Robinson-Dresser Sports Complex. Wednesday's game will begin start at 3:00 p.m. CT. The Cyclones have an overall record of 23-14 and 0-9 in the BIG12 Conference. The Panthers sit with an overall record of 18-13 and 9-3 in Missouri Valley Conference play.

The Panthers:
The Panthers went 3-0 on the weekend (Apr. 10 - Apr. 11) against Valparaiso winning a combined score of 28-8.

UNI has gone 9-1 the past three weekends, including two wins against Indiana State (Mar. 27–28) and three wins against Evansville (Apr. 2–3) and Valparaiso (Apr. 10–11) The Panthers are currently on a six-game win streak heading until Wednesday's matchup against the Cyclones.

Sammey Bunch has been named MVC Player of the Week following her performance against Valparaiso. Bunch posted a .778 batting average and a 1.889 slugging percentage and went 7-for-9 with three home runs, one double, eight RBI's, scored five runs, tagged a team high seventeen bases, and drew three walks for the Panthers.

In Sammey Bunch's last twenty-five plate appearances Bunch has gone 12-for-14 with a .857 batting average, 2.071 slugging percentage, and .920 on base percentage. Bunch has also tallied sixteen RBI's, scored fourteen runs, tagged twenty-nine total bases, and walked/hit by pitch eleven times.

Freshman Catcher Emmy Wells went 4-for-9 posting a .444 batting average and .889 slugging percentage in three games against Valparaiso. Wells also recorded one home run, one double, three RBI's, scored three runs, and tagged eight bases for the Panthers. In the field wells recorded sixteen putouts while not committing a single error for a fielding percentage of 1.000%.

Sophomore Pitcher Kailyn Packard posted a 3.00 ERA while going 2-0 over the span of three games against Valparaiso moving her season record to 12-5 overall and 6-2 in the conference. Packard threw a total of nine innings, striking out ten Valpo batters, walked two, gave up eleven hits, and three earned runs. Packard's batting average against her was .268 over the weekend. In game two of Sunday's double header, Packard threw five innings striking out seven and walking none while picking up her second win of the weekend.
