UNI Softball Falls To Indiana State

Terre Haute, Indiana – The Panthers fell to the Sycamores in the final game of the weekend series vs Indiana State on Sunday, March 28th by a score of 0-2. The Panthers now sit with an overall record of 12-13 on the season.
Offensively Sammey Bunch, Daryn Lamprecht, and Madison Parks all recorded one hit. The Panthers recorded three hits on twenty-four at bats. UNI was also walked twice and left five runners on base.
Sophomore Kailyn Packard got the ball to start in the circle for the Panthers. Packard went 3.1 Innings giving up two runs, one earned, five hits, walked one and struck out four. Oler would come in to relieve Packard in the bottom of the 3rd. Oler would then go 2.2 innings giving up two hits, walking one and striking out one Sycamore batter.

The Panthers will host their first home games of the season against the Evansville Purple Aces Apr. 2 – Apr. 3. The games will be held at the Robinson – Dresser Sports Complex with the first pitch for Friday's first game is set for 12:00 p.m. followed by a 2:30 p.m. start time for the second game. Saturday's game is set to start at 11:00 a.m.
