This Weekend's Action:
The Panther softball team will be traveling to Terre Haute, Indiana to face off against the Sycamores of Indiana State Mar. 27 – Mar. 28. The Panthers will play three games over the weekend. Two will be played on Saturday and one on Sunday.

The Panthers:
Offensively, Sophomore Kamryn Shaffer and Freshman Daryn Lamprecht had a huge weekend for the Panthers. Shaffer finished the opening weekend of MVC play going 3-for-9 with a batting average of .333. She also added to her impressive weekend with two home runs, one double, recording four RBI's, scoring two runs, tagging ten bases, and adding a slugging percentage of 1.111%. Shaffer recorded one home run in both games Saturday.
Lamprecht led the Panthers at the plate going 5-for-11 for a batting average of .455. Lamprecht hit one home run, one double, scored two runs, tagged nine bases, had 2 RBI's, and finished with a slugging percentage of .818%. In the field Lamprecht recorded twenty-five putouts and had zero errors for a fielding percentage of 1.000%.
In the circle, Sophomore Kailyn Packard continues to stay dominant after the first weekend of Missouri Valley Conference play with a 0.69 ERA. The Sophomore went 1-1 on the weekend throwing thirteen innings, giving up four runs, one earned, on ten hits, striking out nine, and walking four.
UNI sits with a 10-12 overall record and a 1-2 record in the conference heading into week two of the Missouri Valley Conference play.
