Panthers Host Evansville for Senior Day on Sunday

The women's basketball team will remain in the McLeod Center Feb. 27-28 to play the Evansville Aces after the games were originally rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns among the Tier-1 Personnel. Tip-offs will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
• The Panthers faced the Bulldogs for their second matchup in the MVC series after a 96-79 loss on Jan. 27 in Des Moines. The Panthers could not clench the win over Drake and fell 77-56 on Wednesday night.
• Kayba Laube led the Panthers with a new career-high 14 points. Laube scored 12 points in the first half, all being three-pointers. She has made 18 three-pointers this season.
• Megan Maahs recorded five rebounds bringing her career total to 820 and she has 1,058 points needing six to take Cassie Hager's No. 18 spot on the All-Time Scoring list.
• The Aces are currently 2-12 in conference play. They have recorded a win against Indiana St. by 13 points in overtime. They also have another win, most recently against Valparaiso, 57-43.
• Evansville played Indiana St. for the final time in the MVC series on Feb. 24. They were unable to take the win to complete their first series sweep of the 2020-21 season and lost, 85-69.
• Abby Feit scored a career-high 29 points against Indiana State and recorded 12 rebounds to complete a double-double. Feit perfectly split her 29 points between both halves of the game, recording 14 in the first and 15 in the second.
• The Panthers have an overall field goal percentage of 40.8% and a three-point field goal percentage of 31.8%
• Nicole Kroeger is on an eight-game streak of making at least one three-pointer that she has attempted. Kayba Laube is also on a nine-game streak of making at least one three-pointer.
• Karli Rucker led the Panthers with five assists and has a total of 84 assists on the season.
• Evansville comes into the series with an overall record of 6-13, an MVC record of 2-12 and they are on a two-game losing streak. UNI is 10-11 overall with a 7-7 MVC record after the loss against Drake.
