CEDAR FALLS, IA - The UNI swimming and diving team returns to action against Illinois State Saturday. The matchup with the Redbirds is the first home meet for the Panthers and their first conference competition of the season.

UNI is looking to bounce back after opening the season with a 212-86 loss to Iowa State in Ames January 30th. The Panthers earned seven second place finishes against the Cyclones including three from freshman Amber Finke.

Illinois State, meanwhile, started the season with a 187-35 win over Valparaiso on February 13th in Normal. Redbird senior Caroline Lecoeur earned MVC Diver of the Week Honors for her performance against the Crusaders.

The preseason Missouri Valley Conference poll predicted UNI to finish 5th in the MVC while Illinois State was ranked 4th.
