Swim and Dive to Compete in Neighboring States over the Weekend

CEDAR FALLS -- The University of Northern Iowa Swim and Dive is on the road this weekend, with the divers competing at the Mizzou Invitational and the swimmers racing at the Kansas Classic.Â
The Mizzou Diving invitational will run beginning on Wednesday, November 17 through Friday, November 19 and diving will begin at 12:30 p.m. The Kansas Classic for the swimmers will start on Friday, November 19 at 10 a.m. and continue through Sunday, November 21.Â
Dive
The Panthers recently competed in the Coyote Extravaganza on Nov. 5-6 where the UNI Swim and Dive team competed against five other teams including the University of St. Thomas, South Dakota State University, St. Cloud State, the University of South Dakota, and the University of Sioux Falls.Â
Freshman Hannah Taylor grabbed seventh place on the 3-Meter board with a total of 213.55 points, followed by junior Taylor Hogan in ninth place with 208.60 points.Â
On 1-Meter, Hogan took first place with 250.15 points while freshman Abby Hutchins finished within the top ten, securing ninth place with a score of 198.15.
Maddie Moran took 15th place at the Coyote Extravaganza on both the 3-meter board and the 1-meter board. She scored 182.75 points on the 3-meter and 181 on the 1-meter board.
Swim
In addition to the hosting Kansas Jayhawks, the Kansas Classic includes Iowa State, Indiana State, Arkansas-Little Rock, and North Texas at the Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka
Most recently, the Panthers topped all teams except South Dakota at the Coyote Extravaganza in Sioux Falls. With the nine victories, UNI moved to 11-3 on the season.
Hallory Domnick, Olivia Chambers, Faith Larsen, Amber Finke, Lily Ernst all finished first place in their respective races at the Extravaganza while eight other Panthers landed top-three finishes for the duration of the meet.Â
